Pixel Scrapper June 2016 Blog Train - Yesteryear

Better late than never!  I almost gave up trying.  I had computer problems, then my programs wouldn't work.  I had to use an old computer that doesn't have enough memory to run my programs...it's been a rough month.  I'm just getting myself organized again.  I hope you can use something from this kit.  When I was doing my family tree a few years ago, most of my ancestors (well all of them actually) came from Italy.  What I wanted to create was more like the old world maps, ships, scroll papers...stuff like that.  Most of the documents I found were old, crinkled up papers or torn postcards with smeared ink blots.  I was running so short on time so I figured I would create my kit more on my ancestors "travel" to this country.  It's not much but mixed with other parts of the train, there is huge potential to make some great pages.  Happy Scrappin'!

Pixel Scrapper May 2016 Blog Train - Happy Birthday

Hey All!  I'm late :o) posting my part of the Pixel Scrapper Blog train...but at least I made it to the party!
I have been having computer issues lately and waiting on my son to fix it or tell me to get a new one (I prefer he fix it of course).  To top that off, my design program just stopped loading so I downloaded another version of the same program but it is only a trial version so I do not have my plug-ins and all that jazz.  My portion of the train is a bit bland (no bells and whistles) because I do not have access to use my Alien Skin plug-ins...I didn't realize how much I actually used them until I didn't have them anymore :o(  Anyway, I figure you may be able to combine the candles or party hat or even the balloons with another designers contribution.  It's not much but it's something.  Happy Scrappin!

Pixel Scrapper April 2016 Blog Train - Life In Full Bloom

Welcome to April!  I am rushing to get this posted before I run out the door for work so I hope I don't forget anything.  I started working on this kit in late February....and I'm just getting it done.  Procrastination. That pretty much sums it up.  Seriously though, I think getting the preview done is my least favorite part of designing.  Sometimes it falls together, other times (like now) things just seem to be scattered all over the place.  I really love how the papers came together for this kit.  I hope you enjoy!

Pixel Scrapper January 2016 Blog Train - Crafty Evening

Happy New Year!  I hope everyone had a very nice holiday with family and friends.  2015 has flown by so fast my head is still spinning.  I am looking forward to great things in 2016. Here is my take on this months blog train, Crafy Evening.  You would think scrapbooking would be the first choice for many, LOL, but I found it a little difficult to recreate that in a theme so I went with painting.  I had more trouble with the papers than the elements on this one.  In the end, I think it turned out alright.

Pixel Scrapper December 2015 Blog Train - Let's Get Festive

I am trying to get festive!!  The holiday season has come up so fast it just doesn't feel like Christmas is right around the corner.  OMG!!  I am usually more prepared and have more than half of my shopping done by now.  I haven't even started shopping yet.  I pulled the old "fake" tree out of the shed, hosed it down and now letting it air dry out in the sun.  I haven't used a fake tree in several years so this should be interesting. At least I won't have to deal with the dreadful pine needles for months after the holiday season is over. Oh...and the lights that need to be hung outside...(sigh), I forgot about the lights.  I'll have to let you know how that turns out :o)

Pixel Scrapper November 2015 Blog Train - Thankful Harvest

Wow, Welcome to November!  Crazy how fast this year is flying by.  I have another freebie for you to enjoy.  The theme for this month was a little difficult (creatively) for me.  Living in Florida, it is hard to imagine it is that time of year.  We have two seasons, summer and winter which is more like fall to everyone else except we don't get the beautiful colors of fall foliage.  Our leaves go from green to brown so not having any green in the color palette made it a little tough.  I think I managed to pull it off. Enjoy!

Pixel Scrapper September 2015 Blog Train - Bohemian Breeze

Hello!  Long time, no post :o)  It's been a crazy, insanely busy summer.  We were on vacation for the first couple of weeks in July then spent the next month trying to catch up at work.  I managed to muster up a little something for the blog train this month which I hope will meet expectations.  I don't feel that I have quite the right balance of elements to go with the theme but it was the best I could do with little time to design.
