Pixel Scrapper September 2015 Blog Train - Bohemian Breeze

Hello!  Long time, no post :o)  It's been a crazy, insanely busy summer.  We were on vacation for the first couple of weeks in July then spent the next month trying to catch up at work.  I managed to muster up a little something for the blog train this month which I hope will meet expectations.  I don't feel that I have quite the right balance of elements to go with the theme but it was the best I could do with little time to design. Here is my part of the Bohemian Breeze blog train.

Pixel Scrapper June 2015 Blog Train - England

Here was my take on "England".  All I could think of was tea!  I really wanted to do something different aside from the deep red and blue. My mind kept thinking of gardens, big hats, tea pots, tea cups, fields of poppies and mason jars!  I don't have any clue where the idea of mason jars came from but once I started....I couldn't stop.   I hope you can use something from this mix of random elements :o)  Enjoy!!

Pixel Scrapper May 2015 Blog Train - Renewal

OMG!  I am so not ready for this month.  I was plugging along thinking I had plenty of time to get this kit done and before I knew it...May is here.  If you have followed my blog at all in the past year or so I know I have mentioned many times that pastel colors and I do not get along.  I just can't wrap my brain around the colors.  I prefer the bold, dark colors...that seems to suit my "design" eye a little better.  Anyway, I gave it a shot as I do every month just to keep the "mojo" going.  I won't keep you waiting....here is "Renewal".

This month's theme was all about the animals.  I chose dogs & cats, I have a house full of them so it was fitting for me.  I think it turned out to be a pretty playful kit.  Hope y'all like it.  Enjoy!

Pixel Scrapper February 2015 Blog Train - Rustic Charm

This one was difficult for me.  I couldn't think of what types of elements to make and what started out to be tags ended up being more like flowers so you get a bunch of flowers with this kit.  I just couldn't get "valentine" out of my head so you get the hearts too :o) Don't forget to stop by Pixel Scrapper to see the other great pieces of the train.

Pixel Scrapper December 2014 Blog Train - The Nutcracker

I have to confess...I almost didn't get this done.  I had a few of the elements done but wasn't feeling inspired so I walked away from my computer for what seemed like weeks.  I only started tinkering with it again a few days ago.  I created a few papers and a few more elements and the long lost "inspiration fairy" struck and I just kept going.  Good thing I've been on vacation this past week or this space may still be blank, eek :-) I tried to make a nutcracker by hand and he looked even more creepy than he already is so I replaced him with the owl.  The alpha was created based on an old card I found with pieces of cardboard with glitter and old music sheets glued to the cardboard.  I thought it was cute.  Mine, of course isn't as cute as the one I had seen but it'll do.  I hope you all enjoy my version of the Nutcracker.

Pixel Scrapper October 2014 Blog Train - Autumn Art

My favorite time of the year!!  We don't get the fantastic fall colors here in Florida but I remember growing up in Ohio and seeing the leaves change colors, the winds blew a little cooler at night and by mid October my sister and I would be walking to school, kicking the leaves on the sidewalk as we strolled onward. The memories I have growing up in Akron, OH...those were the best days of my life as a kid.  We lived in what people that reside there called "little Italy".  So many Italians migrated to that area back in the late 1800's and they started families and made North Hill their home.  I have only gone back there a few times since leaving back in 1993 and things have changed so much.  It broke my heart to see how much the old neighborhood had changed.  I guess as with everything else in life, things change...life goes on.
